President Vokrri receives Minister Kujtim Shala
23 February, 2017 – The President of the Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK), Fadil Vokrri with his collaborators, the FFK Vice President, Agim Ademi and the Secretary General, Eroll Salihu, received today in the new FFK offices the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), Kujtim Shala who was accompanied by the Sports Adviser, Muharrem Sahiti, Chief of Staff and Spokesman, Ndue Ukaj and the Director of the Sports Department, Ibër Alaj. This meeting was also attended by the leaders of the fans club “Dardanët”. By welcoming and thanking the guests for their visit, President Vokrri briefed Minister Shala on the current priorities the FFK has, with a special emphasis in improving the infrastructure in the Prishtina Stadium and the Adem Jashari Stadium in Mitrovica in which UEFA has recently allowed the clubs to play their matches, but that currently needs to be renovated in accordance with standards at least for the second category in order for the football clubs of Kosovo that will play in European competitions to play their matches in Mitrovica.
From his side, Minister Shala promised that the the ministry led by him will do anything that Adem Jashari Stadium in Mitrovica be prepared for the competitions to come. In this regard, it was discussed about the construction of a national football stadium where President Vokrri emphasized the necessity to construct such a stadium, whereas Minister Shala briefed the President Vokrri on the progress of commitments saying that they are working on this issue. The MCYS is determined to support the FFK even more during this year.
Further in the meeting they discussed the support to be given to the group of fans “Dardanët”. So both the MCYS and FFK agreed that “Dardanët” be supported on their mission to support the Kosovo National Team in its matches for the World Cup qualifiers “Russia 2018”. After the meeting, Minister Shlala visited all FFK officeswhile President Vokrri stressed that these office spaces provide a better job environment and this has led to increased work efficiency.
