12 March 2017 – Three extremely interesting matches within Week 21 of Vals Super League in football were played today. The leading team, Trepça’89 marked a crucial victory in the “Shahin Haxhiislami” Stadium in Peja, in duel with Besa with 3: 2. Both teams in this match showed very good game, although Pejans had more chances to score, but were not efficient in front of the guests’ goal. First to take the lead were Mitrovicians with a goal scored by Otto John by head arced by Potoku in the 43rd minute. However, just a minute later, Pejans equalized the numbers through Ilir Izmaku’s auto goal. Besa continued to play well in the second half and managed to score the second goal in the 57th minute when Qemajl Elshani scored a euro goal from a distance of about 40 meters. However, Trepça’89 did not give up and initially managed to equalize in the 72nd minute with a goal from the penalty scored by Florent Hasani, while in the third minute of additional time, Oto John scored his second and the winning goal for the guests, thus sealing the final score to 3: 2.
The champion team in power, Feronikeli, won as a guest too, beating Liria in the “Përparim Thaçi” Stadium in Prizren with 3: 1. Goals for Feronikeli were scored by Mendurim Hoti (2 ‘), Yll Hoxha (10’) and Mevlan Zeka (81 ‘), while the only goal for Prizrenis was scored by Osi Chipuese (13′).
Meanwhile, a very important victory in the race for survival was achieved by Drita, beating Drenica in Gjilan with 2: 1 with the goals scored by Ismet Cakaj (16’-auto goal) and Përparim Livoreka (63 ‘), whereas the only goal for Drenica was scored by Granit Arifaj (47 ‘).
