Tirana, 11 April 2017 – Perhaps the great wish for a victory burned Kosovo girls who were defeated by Malta with 1:3 in the last match of the World Cup qualifiers “France 2019”. If the girls of the “A” National Team played as they played in the last 20 minutes of the match, when they totally dominated Malta, trapping it inside the 16th meters, when Blerta Shala scored a beautiful goal in the 80th minute, reducing the score to 1:3, no doubt that the match would have been finished with opposite numbers in Kosovo’s favor. The National Team of Kosovo suffered three goals in the first half of the match after some initial mistakes of the defense and the attack was powerless to overturn the score. Initially, Cuschieri scored in the 12th minute while Flask scored in the 27th minute doubling Malta’s lead to close the series of goals in the 38th minute by Theuma. Although Kosovo does no go further in the qualifiers, with all shortages of different nature, being already clear for public now, the technical staff and the girls emerged with experience and the aims are now clear to build a good national team in the future.
