3 June 2017 – Vllaznia from Pozheran is going to be part of Vala Super League of Kosovo in the next edition. The team that so far raced in the First League wrote the history, as today it managed to defeat Ferizaj in the “play-off” match that was played at “Riza Lushta” Stadium in Mitrovica, a great atmosphere created by the fans of both teams. Vllaznia arrived to the historic success after the execution of penalties, thus winning with 3:2 as the match in the regular time was closed 0:0, while after the additional times, it ended with 1:1. Ferizaj was better during the regular time having several good chances to score but lacked fate to find the goal. Meanwhile, in the last minute, Ferizaj remained with 10 players in the pitch as Florent Papuqi was punished with red card. In additions, Ferizaj was more persistent but a mistake in their defense was utilized by Bruti in the 97th minute who then served Lirian Ferati scoring from inside the zone. Even after this goal, Ferizaj did not give up managing thus to equalize in the 108th minute with the goal scored by Enis Kuka, sending the match to penalties. In series of penalties the hero of Vllaznia was the goalkeeper Jasir Bajrami who defended two last penalties. Bruti, Sylejmani and Kallaba scored for Vllaznia whereas Ferati and Merovci failed. Shabani and Tërshana scored for Ferizaj but Bushi, Kuka and Salihu could not score the three last penalties. In this regard, Vllaznia climbs to Super League for the first time while Ferizaj returns to First League after a year. Meanwhile, the other “play-off” match is going to be played tomorrow between Dukagjini and Drita.
