8 September 2017 – The President of FFK, Fadil Vokrri and Kosovo’s National Team Selector, Albert Bunjaku held today a joint press conference. On this occasion, President Vokrri confirmed that after the conversation he had with Bunjaku, they came to the conclusion that Bunjaku leaves the selector’s seat and thus opens the way for the selection of a new head coach after the last two qualifiers matches for the 2018 World Cup. President Vokrri stressed that Bunjaku resigned but that he and the Executive Committee decided that Bunjaku would continue to work in the remaining two qualifiers matches. Vokrri thanked selector Bunjaku for the work he has been doing for all these years under difficult conditions, while he left the possibility of future cooperation in other segments open. On the other hand, Bunjaku thanked President Vokrri and the Executive Committee for their trust in running Kosovo’s National Team in the qualifying round. In addition, he said he would be fully focused on the last two matches against Ukraine and Iceland to produce positive results, and would then rest for a while before deciding on further career steps.
