27 January 2018 – Following very successful and very interesting lectures on awareness and prevention of match-fixing held last week in Peja, Gjakova, Prizren and Suhareka, the same continued today in Prishtina in the red hall of the Palace of Culture and Youth. Before the U-13 to U-19 ages, the FFK integrity officer, Mr. Ejup Osmani, has highlighted the importance of fair competition, sporting spirit, sporting rivalry and all this with an epilogue as a result of what is shown in the field between two teams. But not all, Osmani said further, want it. There will always be individuals or groups of interest who for personal and clan benefit, want to disturb the progress of competitions. Such individuals and groups to reach their goal find collaboration with bettors to individuals as game players. And their money comes mainly from drugs, prostitution and organized crime and other dirty phenomena, so we must strongly say no to such occurrences and submit them to the Federation’s organs, investigative and prosecutorial authorities, to prevent them and also to receive the right and deserved punishment.
Therefore, we need vigilance and courage to openly and without hesitation say stop. There are many cases in the world that such individuals and groups have been banned and condemned. In the following, Mr. Osmani said that FFK already has an organ such as the Integrity Officer who has his associates and in cooperation with UEFA, oversees the course of all competitions in all ranks and any such occurrence can be presented via free phone or email and any calls remain confidential.
Such lectures will continue in the regions of Mitrovica, Ferizaj and Gjilan, to involve as many individuals as possible in this uncompromising fight against match-fixing.
