19 March 2018 – The National Team of Kosovo U21 started today preparations for the subsequent matches within the European 2019 qualifiers that will be played on 22 and 27 March against Azerbaijan and Germany respectively, at the Olympic Stadium “Adem Jashari” in Mitrovica. The U21 National Team is gathered at the “International Prishtina” Hotel while it held its first training exercise on synthetic grass field “Top Football” near Prishtina, led by the coaches, Rafet Prekazi, Erdogan Celina and Naser Prapashtica. Although under constant rainfall, players showed maximum engagement in training, proving that they are eagerly awaiting these two challenges, especially for the fact that they will play before their fans.
Said after training:
Rafet Prekazi, Head Coach: In all the matches so far we have shown good games and these guys have shown that they have potential. We should be aware that we are a young team and really we cannot be a favorite against any rival, but we have to give 200 percent on the pitch. We know very well who are our opponents, but since the beginning of these qualifiers I said that Kosovo will not be a morsel, and that was also proved.
Valmir Sulejmani, Hannover player: I returned after a 7 months break from injury. Normally, it is not easy to come back after such a serious injury. However, I feel good and will see how things will go. I played 4-5 matches with Hanover’s second team and I have given the maximum and believe that the return is going well. As for the coming two matches, I look forward to succeed. I know Germany very well. It has a very strong team because I played in their U-17 and U-18 teams. If we give the maximum and play well, we are likely to win.
