13 June 2018 – This morning, FIFA’s 68th Congress in Moscow started. The FFK President Fadil Vokrri, together with his Vice-President, Agim Ademi and the Secretary General Eroll Salihu, was scheduled to attend the proceedings of this congress.
However, Saturday morning the heart of President Fadil Vokrri suddenly stopped beating, leaving a nation sad and leaving his project for the fierce development of Kosovo football in half, but also preventing his participation at the FIFA Congress in Moscow.
However, President Vokrri is not only physically with us, as he will always be present in the minds and hearts of all those who contributed and will continue his journey for further development of Kosovo football, and will be a guide to a bright future.
In Moscow, President Vokrri was not physically, but his life and work was honored with a minute of silence at the beginning of the FIFA Congress, leaving an indelible mark on the history of the world football home.
In this Congress was also voted for the organizers of the 2026 World Cup. For the first time in history, the most important event of football will take place in three states, as it has been the joint US-Mexico-Canada candidacy, what it has won in transparent electronic voting against Morocco. 134 national football associations voted for the joint candidacy of three states of North America, while 64 votes went to Morocco’s candidacy. The Football Federation of Kosovo at this congress was represented by the Vice-President Agim Ademi and the Manager, Bajram Shala who will also be attending the opening ceremony of the World Cup that begins tomorrow.
