12 April 2022 – The National Team of Kosovo in the women’s competition lost to Belgium within Group F for the 2023 World Cup qualifiers. The match played on Tuesday evening at Fadil Vokrri stadium was finished with 6: 1 for the Belgians. As expected, Belgium dominated the match, although the Dardanians were the ones who endangered the visitors net several times in the first minutes. The Belgian footballers unlocked the figures in the 22nd minute through Tine De Caigny, whereas they scored two quick goals at the end of the first half in the period when our footballers were trying to equalize the figures. Both goals were scored by Tessa Wuallert (42 ‘, 44’). The latter was effective in the second half, when she scored two more goals in the 54th and 65th minutes, Tessa Wullaert scored in the 41st and 44th minutes. They continued efficiently in the second half as well. She scored in the 54th minute for 4: 0 and in the 65th minute for 5: 0. Erëleta Memeti then scored the only goal for Kosovo in the 68th minute before Marie Minnaert set the final score in the 77th minute to 6: 1.

After this win, Belgium is ranked second in the group with 19 points, three points less than the leader Norway, while Kosovo remains fifth in the ranking with 4 points. The Dardanians will play their next match on 1 September when they will host Armenia.
