Kosovo starts the new edition of the Nations League with a victory 

2 June 2022 – The National Team of Kosovo started with victory the new edition of the Nations League. Dardanians defeated Cyprus with 2: 0 on Thursday at the “AEK Arena” stadium in Larnaca within Group 2 of League C. The first half of the match was no longer pale, where Alain Giresse’s selected players managed to threaten the hosts’ goal only in the 45^th minute through Edon Zhegrova. However, in the second half, the Kosovo footballers appeared much more persistent and created successive chances. It was the 65^th minute when Valon Berisha with an accurate shot from 16 meters unlocked the numbers. This goal came after the assistance of Vedat Muriqi, but Edon Zhegrova also had great merit, who penetrated the area from the right wing. Even after this goal, the Dardanians did not stop and managed to find the calm goal in the 78^th minute. The goal scorer was Edon Zhegrova after the assistance of Florian Loshaj. Kosovo will play its next match on Sunday against Greece, a rival of significantly better quality than Cyprus but the Dardanians will have the great support of the fans at the “Fadil Vokrri” stadium.
