12 October 2019 – Boys of the U17 National Team of Kosovo could not repeat the game they played against the European double champions, the Netherlands, in the second match of qualifiers against Slovenia. The latter defeated Dardans with 2:0. An early goal suffered in the 12th minute by Sheshko, after a mistake from our defence, influenced a lot in the course of the match. Our players revived and attempted to equalize the score in the second half but Andi Hoti was expelled from the match in the 63rd minute following two yellow cards thus causing trouble for our team. Slovenians scored the second goal in the 86th minute through Zajshek for 2:0 for Slovenia thus ending the second Kosovo’s qualifiers match. Kosovo will playe the last match against Wales on 15 October at 1900hrs. After the match the Head Coach, Besnik Kollari said: “We knew it was not going to be easy against Slovenia. The early goal from a not promising action impacted our players. We changed the game system in the second half but Hoti was expelled too early and this made our game too difficult. Slovenia was really better than us. Now we have to see what we can do in the last match against Wales”.
