ORGANISATION AND STRUCTURE OF THE FOOTBALL FEDERATION OF KOSOVA

The Football Federation of Kosovo has a clear organizational structure.
Its highest organ is the Assembly, and then the Executive Committee consisted of 12 members elected by the Assembly, its Chairman, General Secretary, Administration and regular Commissions with the Association of Referees and Coaches.

The Football Federation of Kosovo is administered by the following normative acts:
Statute, Regulation of Competitions, Proposals of Competitions, Regulation on Registration of Clubs and Players, Regulation on the Status of Players, Disciplinary Regulation and other acts that regulate and administer the work of Commissions and Associations.

Within FFK, there are 16 clubs in the Super League, 14 clubs in the First League, 24 clubs in the two groups of the Second League and 20 clubs in the Third League. It means the competitions are held in four ranges.

Young categories compete as following: juniors in two ranges, in the Super League and in the First League.
Regularly the following generation compete as well: a) Primary School Pupil, b) Category of Pioneers, and c) Category of Cadets. In addition, there are schools of football licensed by the FFK, but their infrastructural conditions are not good.

Women football is in very difficult organisational and financial conditions. Kosova had its own women football team in the first Yugoslav league. After 1999, it had four teams that competed among themselves but today they exist just thanks to the unreserved commitment of sportive workers and few sponsors. This happens because of the very difficult financial situation in the Kosovar football clubs.

ASSOCIATION OF REFEREES IN KOSOVA
Kosova used to have referees licensed by UEFA in former Yugoslavia and thank to their experience and good will they were always organised well based on their possibilities they had. Presently, FFK has 31 referees of first category, 112 of second category, and 166 of third category. Within them, we have also 11 women referees.

ASSOCIATION OF COACHES OF KOSOVA

FFK has 24 coaches of category „A”, 28 of category „B” and 144 beginner coaches. These coaches have been educated in different countries like Sweden, Germany, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Macedonia, etc. However, the immediate need of Kosovar football is establishment of a school licensed and supervised by UEFA.
