9 April 2023 – Exciting matches have been played within the 28th week of the Kosovo Albi Mall Super Liga some of which have brought unexpected results. Ballkan had a 2:0 lead against Malisheva in the match played in Suhareka until the 86th minute. However, the match ended with a 2:2 draw as Malisheva scored two goals at the very end of the match. Meanwhile, the leader of the Superliga, Drita, failed to defeat Trepça’89 at home, as their match ended in a 1:1 draw. Besnik Krasniqi scored the first goal for Drita from the penalty in the 12th minute. Egzon Fazliu equalized then the numbers in the 24th minute after Blend Baftiu’s assist. These two results do not change the positions in the table because Drita remains at the top with 56 points, followed by Ballkan with 55 points. Dukagjini defeated Prishtina at “Fadil Vokrri” stadium with 2:1. The guests from Klina took the lead after just nine minutes when Muhamed Useini scored an own goal by deflecting the ball after Blerind Morina’s shot. Mërgim Pefqeli equalized the numbers in the 26th minute but Altin Merlaku restored Dukagjini’s lead in the 59th minute, which turned out to be the winning goal. Now Prishtina and Dukagjini have same points (38) and are ranked in 5th and 6th positions.
Meanwhile, in the other two matches, host teams enjoyed victories. Ferizaj defeated Gjilan (2:0), with the goals scored by Gentrit Halili (30′) and Gentri Ramusa (53′) thus climbing to the seventh position with 31 points. On the other hand, Llapi proved to be very efficient in the duel with Drenica, beating it with 4:0 with the goals scored by Gerhard Progni (6′), Alef Firmino (44′), Festim Alidema (81′) and Albion Kurtaj (85′). With this win, Llapi reaches 39 points and climbs to the fourth position, while Drenica remains last with only 23 points collected and with ever-smaller hopes for remaining in the elite.
