26 July 2020 – The 2019/20 edition of the IPKO Super League in football is closed. Drita was crowned champion after the match against Ballkan in Suhareka, even though it had secured the third title in the club’s history in the previous week after the victory against Drenica and the Gjilan’s draw with Ballkan. In the last match, Drita lost in duel with Ballkan with 2: 1, but this did not spoil Gjilan’s celebration at all who entered the match relaxed, knowing that they were already champions. Before the match, Ballkan footballers honoured the new champions by applauding them as they entered the pitch. The hosts took the lead first with Visar Berisha’s goal in the 14th minute. The numbers were equalized by Xhevdet Shabani in the 33rd minute. However, the winning goal for the Suhareka oranges was scored by Mirlind Daku in the 61st minute. At the ceremony of awarding the trophy the President of FFK, Agim Ademi, Minister of Sports, Vlora Dumoshi, the FFK Secretary General, Eroll Salihu, the FFK EC members, Mirsad Çollaku and Naser Ajeti and many other guests were present. The trophy of the champion was handed over to the Captain of Drita, Ardian Limani, by the Minister Dumoshi and President Ademi.
Meanwhile, the today’s matches gave the epilogue in terms of the second team that will represent us in Europe and the fourth team that will say farewell to the elite. It was exactly the match between Gjilan and Flamurtari that clarified these two enigmas, where Gjilanis secured the second position and the first appearance in the European competitions. On the other hand, the red and blacks of the capital with this loss fall from the elite, taking in consideration that both its rivals for survival, Trepça89 and Drenica achieved victory in the last week. Thus, Flamurtari, Ferizaj, Vushtrri and Dukagjini are greeted by the Super League.
