31 December 2022 – The Football Federation of Kosovo and the Municipality of Prishtina concluded an agreement on the extension of the contract for the “Fadil Vokrri” stadium. The agreement was signed by the FFK President, Agim Ademi and the Mayor of Prishtina, Pëparim Rama. According to this agreement, the “Fadil Vokrri” stadium will continue to be managed and utilised by FFK for another five years.

On behalf of the Executive Committee and the football community, President Ademi thanked the Mayor of Prishtina and his staff for entrusting the management of this important facility to FFK so that it can jointly continue its maintenance as well as investments in repair of the pitch and other parts of the facility.

The head of the FFK emphasized that this facility is of national interest considering that it is the only arena in which the matches of the National Team and clubs in European arena take place. He said that the improvement of the pitch will begin immediately so that it will be in the most optimal condition for the matches of the qualifying cycle for Euro 2024, which begin in March 2023.

President Ademi also expressed the readiness of FFK for capital investments in this stadium in the future together with the Municipality and the Ministry of Sports, including the project to increase the capacity and further modernize the facility as a whole, as he said, this stadium is a symbol not only of the capital but also of our country.

President Ademi expressed the hope that in this five-year period of management and use of the “Fadil Vokrri” stadium, the capital and the FFK will be equipped with a new stadium, which would enable even better conditions for international matches and at the same time discharge it from the overload of matches.
