10 April 2023 – The Kosovo U19 women’s national team was defeated in the third and last match in Group 3 of the B League for the European Championship 2023 qualifiers. Against Northern Ireland in Belfast, which was decisive for the first position in the group, Dardanians U19 lost with 3:1. Thus, they lost the opportunity to be promoted to League A for the next qualifying edition for the European Championship although a draw was enough for them in this match, because in the first two matches they had scored victories against Cyprus and Latvia. In fact, Albina Rrahmani’s team was well on its way to secure the first position because they had a favorable result until the 83rd minute. Kosovo took the lead with the goal scored by Gresa Berisha in the 28th minute. However, the hosts managed to equalize in the 57th minute through Aimee Neal, while substitute Keri Halliday took care of the victory for Northern Ireland who scored two goals (83′ and 92′). Thus, Kosovo ended this phase in the second position with 6 points, as much as Northern Ireland had but secured the first position thanks to the win in the returning match.
