17 April 2023 – The joint delegation of UEFA and FIFA, comprised of Servet Yardimci, member of the UEFA Executive Committee and Chairman of the UEFA Committee for National Associations, Luca Nicola, Head of the National Government and Global Institutions of UEFA, and Sofia Malizia, Manager of the Governance of FIFA member associations, is staying today for an extraordinary visit to Kosovo, to be closely informed about the latest developments about FFK, the process of licensing by MCYS and the difficulties that football clubs are facing. The delegation first met with the Vice-President Bakir Burri and the Secretary General, Taulant Hodaj. In addition, they held a joint meeting with the representatives of the clubs, to discuss the concerns of the latter regarding the licensing process and the difficulties they are facing during this process. Representatives of UEFA and FIFA listened carefully to all the concerns raised by the representatives of clubs, promised to address them to the competent bodies and with the joint commitment of all parties there can be positive results this way very soon. Then the UEFA and FIFA delegation continued the meetings with other sports actors in Kosovo, also in the spirit of cooperation and constructiveness.
