19 June 2023 – The Kosova National Team suffered a heavy loss in the fourth match in Group I for the Euro 2024 qualifiers. They were defeated by Belarus in Budapest with 2:1. This loss came after three draws, which the Dardanians achieved against Israel, Andorra and Romania. The Belarusians unlocked the numbers in the 73rd minute when Vladislav Morozov scored in Aro Muric’s goal after a mistake by Hekuran Kryeziu. Just two minutes later, Kosova also conceded the second goal when Max Ebong scored for 2:0, taking advantage of the poor defensive positioning. In the remaining minutes, the Dardanians attacked in an attempt to change the epilogue of this match but apart from Vedat Muriqi’s goal, in the 87th minute from the penalty, they failed to do more. Thus, Kosova suffered a loss in the match that it hoped to win in order to continue pursuing the objective of qualifying for Euro 2024. The Dardanians will play their next matches in September against Switzerland and Romania.
