9 April 2024 – The Kosova’s National Team (girls) suffered a deep defeat to the favourite of Group B4, Wales, with 5:0. The match played at the “Zahir Pajaziti” stadium in Podujeva, as expected, was a sign of the dominance of the Welsh footballers who confirmed the role of the favourite of this group by achieving the second victory in this new cycle of qualifications for the 2025 European Championship. Meanwhile, this was the second loss in a row for the Dardanians led by Anneli Andersen, as four days ago they also lost to Ukraine in Antalya (2:0). Rachel Rowe opened the series of goals for the Welsh in the 30th minute. The same player also scored in the 60th minute for 3:0, after Kayleigh Barton (44′) previously made the numbers 2:0. Ffion Morgan (62’) and Elise Hughes (85’, 90’+3’) scored the other three goals for the visitors. Kosova plays its next two matches against Croatia, first at home on 31 May and then away on 4 June.
