9 October 2019 – Kosovo U17 National Team has come out unbeaten in the match with the European champions, Netherlands, in the opening match of qualification for the European Championship “Estonia 2020”, which is being held in Tulips country. The young Dardans showed a very good game against the ‘Oranges’ closing the match with 1-1. The hosts took the lead with the goal scored by Jimenez in the 10th minute, while the goal for Kosovo was scored by Granit Hana in the 59th minute. After the match, the Head Coach, Besnik Kollari said to be happy about the result achieved in this match and emphasized the focus on the next two matches. “I congratulate the boys for a great engagement. They showed strong character and a desire for a positive result against such a strong opponent as the Netherlands that is the champion of Europe. “This draw gives us hope and helps us in the other matches, but despite the draw with the Netherlands as a favorite, we have to stay on the ground and prepare for the matches against Slovenia and Wales as best we can.”
