17 February 2023 – The world-famous female footballer Kosovare Asllani arrived for a visit to Kosova as part of the 15th anniversary of Independence. She came under the epithet of UNICEF’s Good Hope Ambassador. President Agim Ademi received Kosovare and her father, Naset Asllani at the “Adem Jashari” International Airport in Prishtina. Wishing her a welcome to her homeland, President Ademi expressed his gratitude and that of the Kosovar football community for her dignified presentation of her country of origin anywhere in the world through football. The head of the FFK emphasized that the very name of Kosovare has made our country to be presented in the best way. He said that she has become a model for Kosovar girls and women, but not only, thanks to her dignified appearances in the jersey of Real Madrid, Milan and the Swedish national team. Giving her the figure of the ‘Goddess on Throne’, he emphasized that Kosovare is a ‘Football Goddess’ and as such, is an example to be followed by young Kosovar girls. In addition, President Ademi honoured the football player with a sensational career with the jersey of the Kosova National Team expressing the hope that after the end of her career, she will enter the profession of coach and she will contribute to the role of head coach of Kosovo in the future. From her side, Kosovare Asllani expressed her gratitude to President Ademi and the FFK for the warm hospitality on this special day, wishing him and the entire people the Independence Day of Kosova. She congratulated FFK for the extraordinary work and the successes achieved after joining UEFA and FIFA. She emphasized that she is very connected to Kosovo and expressed her wish that the final match of her career be exactly the one between Kosovo and Sweden, for which, President Ademi promised her that whenever that day comes, FFK will be ready to organize such a match. In addition, Kosovare expressed her willingness to give her experience and contribution as a coach of Kosovo in the future.
