28 March 2021 – The Kosovo’s National Team in football started the qualification cycle for the World Cup “Qatar 2022” with loss. Dardans were defeated on Sunday evening by Sweden at Fadil Vokrri stadium with 3:0. This was the second win for Sweden as just three days ago, they defeated Georgia too. Kosovo started the match well and created few chances to score in the first minutes. However, in the 17th minute, the Swedes unblocked the numbers. It was Viktor Claesson who scored following Ibrahimovic’s assist. The lead to 2:0 was increased by the guests in the 35th minute when Alexander Isak used a mess in front of Ujkani’s goal. In the second half, the Swedes managed the lead whereas in the 70th minute, they scored to 3:0 through the captain Sebastian Larsson from the white dot. Kosovo closed the match with 10 players as Bernard Berisha, who engaged in the 83rd minute, was expelled following two yellow cards. The next match Kosovo is going to play on next Wednesday in Sevilla against Spain.
